Happy Friday!

I know I changed my template again! David was just getting on to me the other night about spending hours fixing this thing up. He told me to come up with one I like and leave it (heehee) He said the same thing about the living room. When I worked I was constantly moving things around in my office. So, that's just me, love it one day, need something different the next. I'm just using this one until I can decide which one of these I want to get. (Shabby Miss Jenn) Plus, I am sending the blue/brown html to a friend of mine for her blog.

Beautiful! That is the one word I can come up with to describe today. We are expected to reach the mid 80's ~ Yippee! We will be gone most of the day enjoying this nice weather. We are going to do some visiting and then head to the park.

The latest news on a pet hamster is .......... we're not getting one. And yes, I am happy. Apparently, the tiny creatures can pass on a virus to humans. You can read this terrible news story here.

Last night, I was catching up on some blog reading and found a yummy chocolate chip pie recipe at Bakerella, and I am so fixin' this tonight. In case you missed it she was on Martha Stewart a couple of weeks ago and you can read about that here.

I hope you all have a wonderful and happy Friday!

Emily

On Sunday nights we are currently going through the Way of the Master Training. David and a couple more guys are heading this up, and since I am taking the class we have been keeping the girls with us. Emily's bff also comes out to the class since her dad is helping, and her mom is taking it as well. A week or so ago we had to pair up with someone, give them a tract, and go over the good person test. Emily paired up with Bryanna and the following is what Emily told David after church.

*remember we were role playing and the idea was to come across like someone you might meet on the street. Emily was asking the questions of the good person test. Such as, have you ever told a lie

Daddy, Bryanna said she's never told a lie. And she said she's never taken
anything that was not hers. I told her, I don't know what lusting
means but you're gonna do that when your older.

Lusting, the newest word in Emily's vocabulary. She asked me the other day while watching The Flintstones if Barney and Fred were lusting after their dance teacher. Oh, my! I jerked my head up wanting to know where she had heard the word. She gave me a funny look and said it's in the bible.

The Dentist

I have a dentist appointment at 2:30 today and I am already a ball of nerves. I love my dentist and all the people that work there, but yet, I hate it! I am a big baby! My girls love going to the dentist. Audrey just had an appointment last week to get a chipped tooth fixed. No problem. She was even looking forward to it. When we left I told Dr.? that I would see him on Monday and how Audrey is a better patient than I am. He told me I would be fine. He was probably thinking otherwise. He has sent me home before. He now calls me in valium. I have to take a pill about 30 minutes to an hour before I go to help me relax. I miss Kathy, his old assistant, she used to hold my hand and tell me I was doing fine.

I meant to ask David to leave his iPod so I could listen to some music while he was working in my mouth, but I forgot. Now I'll be listening to High School Musical tunes on Audrey's while Mr. Bumpy and Mr. Whistle are going to work on this tooth.

Weigh In

Well, I was up 2 pounds at Thursday's weigh in. When I stepped up on the scale the lady looked at me and said, what did you do? Well, apparently I ate! But I mumbled something about "that time" and listened as she gave me a lecture on retaining water.(in front of everyone) It's my own fault. My weigh in the week before was really good. Down almost two pounds. So I rewarded myself. With a banana split Friday night. And Saturday. I wanted to fix another one this past Friday, ya know, to make me feel better. But I thought better of it. Plus, I knew that David wouldn't let me. He has really been after me since my weigh in. Asking how many points this or that is, telling me I really shouldn't eat that, and the worst, telling me I can't have birthday cake (gasp)

Daddy's Girls

Little Lambs

We made the cutest little lambs last week. Emily has been after me for a couple days now to put them on the blog.

Well, Color Me Happy!

It's like all my childhood favorites are making a come back at the same time.

First, we were doing a little shopping online and I saw these little outfits that I wore when I was younger! I love these! Instead of ordering them online we need to run try them on to make sure the shorts are not too short. Oh, I can just see them now with a cute pair of flip flops and piggy tails!

Remember these! oh.my.goodness. I had one that was red on one side and tan on the other. We will be adding one of these to our collection soon.

And just when I thought it couldn't get any better, I found out that the rumors are true.

They're getting back together! You can read all about it here
We loved NKOTB back in the day (heehee)

Oh, if only cuffed jeans would come back!

A Funny

A couple of days ago I posted how Emily & Audrey have found a new love in emailing. If they have your address, this is nothing new to you. They are so funny instead of talking they email each other. Often times during the day I hear one say to the other, I sent you an email. This is followed by the sound of running feet to the computer. A few minutes later I hear, I just sent you one back go check it.

They send David emails throughout the day too, and if he’s not too busy he will reply back.
The other morning I was in the shower, and Audrey came running into the bathroom all upset. She started telling me that David would be gone until tomorrow morning. Having no clue what she was talking about, I told her what any other concerned frazzled mom would, I’m taking a shower, go away. It was at this point I realized she was really upset, because she wouldn’t leave. She told me again that David was gone and would not be back until tomorrow morning. After telling her, I don’t know how many times, that he would be home around 5:30 she finally told me he sent her an email. I knew then where the confusion was coming from. David was out of the office on Monday for training. Here is the email reply she got back.

I’ll be out of the office until Tuesday morning April 1, 2008. I’ll respond to
your message then. Thanks for your patience.

Meet Tom

Tom is the newest member of our little family. I am not very fond of Tom. I am scared of Tom. To me, Tom is just gross. But Audrey loves him. And when I told her he had to stay outside, she started crying and said he would be lonely. My first thought was not a very nice one. So, I told her she had to talk to her daddy. Thinking he would agree that we should send him back out to the lake. NOT that he would go out and buy him his own place. Which now sits on top of our piano. Full of dirty water. Looking all gross. I go visit with him several times a day to see if he is still alive. And he is. Apparently, they can live a long and happy life.

The girls want a pet so bad. I am not an animal person. AT.ALL. I don’t know what it is about them. I loved animals as a child. I can’t ever recall being scared of them or scared to touch them. I blame high school biology.
We talked (David talked, I whined) about getting a hamster the other night. I told David my concerns. Like what if he gets out (my nephews gets out) I am NOT staying in the house because to me, it’s just a big, hairy rat. Then we decided that Emily and Audrey would chase him around if he wasn’t home. David will help clean the cage. And the big one is…. we can only get one. Why? Well, I’m so glad you asked. When I was younger we had two hampsters. Laverne & Shirley. Like the tv show. They had babies. They ate the babies. And then Laverne ate Shirley. Or Shirley ate Laverne. Don’t remember and it doesn’t really matter. I just remember how grossed out I was that awful day.
